Halle and James helped Dan transplant some trees in the backyard. They were careful to cover roots, give the trees plenty of water, and even place oyster shells around the trunk of the trees.

Daffodil Picking
We have a local daffodil field that opens to the public each year for picking. James was a little scared of all the crickets, but loved the mud puddles. Halle did a wonderful job filling our flower bucket so we had plenty of daffodils to take home for us and Gram.

Dan's First Dualathalon
Dan participated in a local event this past weekend. It was a run/bike/run event. He came in first in his age division and ninth overall. Halle, James and I went out to cheer him on. We all had a great time.

Baby Keefer 3 at 20 weeks
We traveled to MUSC the week of Valentine's Day, as requested by my doctor, to check some fluid detected around one of the baby's kidneys at the ultrasound the previous week. Luckilly, the fluid was not visible at an alarming rate on the 3 D ultrasound and we were sent home with great news of a healthly baby on the way and some incredible pictures. We are still going to wait to see if it's a girl or a boy!

James' 2nd Birthday

We celebrated James' birthday at home with Dan's parents, who came down from Pennsylvania, and my parents, at our house. He enjoyed his cupcake, lifesize rocking horse, veterinarian's kit, and playground Dan made for the backyard. The next day, we had a bar b que at the beach. The weather warmed up enough for us to play in the sand after lunch.
First Pony Rides

We were fortunate to be invited to Hampton Island, just outside of Savannah, for a Neighborhood Lunch and Oyster Roast. The ammenities are beautiful and rustic. We were given tours of the animal rescue center, barn, spa, lake, and taken for a horse and carriage ride around the grounds. Halle and James willingly rode on a pony and fed it carrots from the organic garden.
