Little Shakespeare

Halle's school hosted a Shakespeare Festival. Each child was asked to dress in Shakespearean attire and memorize one line from a Shakespeare play. Halle amazed and thrilled us by delivering her line in front of the crowd on her school lawn. Of course, she loved dressing like a princess.

Bluffton Beach

We had fun discovering All Joy Beach in Bluffton on the May River. You can see many boats on the river, dig your toes in the mud and even find crabs.

Easter 2008

We celebrated Easter in Bluffton on Friday and Saturday with Gram, Papa, Aunt Alicia and Uncle Adam. Then we drove to Mamaw and Papaw's house in Pennsylvania on Easter Sunday and were welcomed by the Easter Bunny there too! We returned home the Wednesday after Easter. The kids had a blast seeing all their loving and playful relatives.

We Like Them Sam I Am

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday at the first of March, Halle requested green eggs for dinner one night. Turns out they were a hit with both Halle and James! We forgot the ham. Maybe next time...

Getting Ready for Earth Day

Halle and James helped Dan transplant some trees in the backyard. They were careful to cover roots, give the trees plenty of water, and even place oyster shells around the trunk of the trees.

Daffodil Picking

We have a local daffodil field that opens to the public each year for picking. James was a little scared of all the crickets, but loved the mud puddles. Halle did a wonderful job filling our flower bucket so we had plenty of daffodils to take home for us and Gram.

Dan's First Dualathalon

Dan participated in a local event this past weekend. It was a run/bike/run event. He came in first in his age division and ninth overall. Halle, James and I went out to cheer him on. We all had a great time.
